LOCAL ELECTRICIAN AND SOLAR INSTALLER
Wayne has been a North Queensland local his whole life. He completed his electrical apprenticeship working for a Mackay electrician, working primarily in residential electrical repairs and maintenance.
After staying on for a few years after his apprenticeship, Wayne worked for a couple of other small electrical businesses in both domestic and commercial settings before starting as a sole trader in 2020, trading as Electrical Maintenance Mackay.
In 2023, Wayne undertook further training and is now accredited as a solar installer and started installing systems locally to get a bit of experience under his belt before launching Lawson Solar & Electrical in 2024. Your local, experienced electrician can now install, upgrade and maintain residential and commercial solar systems!
Wayne’s favourite aspects of being an electrician is meeting people and helping ‘fix stuff’. When he’s not at work, or working in the garden at home, you will find Wayne out in the tinnie dreaming of a tropical island and hoping to hook a fish!
